Identity and Survival

My initial idea was to put a powerful image of Bhindranwale on the cover. But finally settled in for a faceless cover. Works better this way.
What do you think?

Chandan,

The thought process that went into the cover is commendable. Putting an image that would directly connect to a certain community is not what is required but to the issues that sorrounded the uprising in 84. Yes, it works better this way. Moreover the sub title does reflect the contents of the book. Nice work...

Interesting designs in your blog. The faceless illustration definitely works better than your earlier idea. I bet you love your job!

yeah it definitely works without the face. As in someone is a militant first than comes the face, the identity, the name,etc..

How do you go about designing the cover. do you first read the whole book than start with the designing? ...

I really envy your job :)

Dear Chandan,

This is fantastic work, I was happy to see no face on the cover. For me that really emphasized the title.

Cheers.

It's a very difficult topic for discussions, but the book seems to have a rather objective point of view.
